Sunrise Sunset over Khartoum

Last week my husband had my camera (for the first time ever, perhaps it was after he photographed me going to the spaza shop!) and caught this vapour trail and airplane. If you click on the photo to enlarge, the aircraft is clearly visible(Photo credit above: Grant Hedges)
That is when I noticed by the pink glow in the sky, that from our east-facing balcony we were not noticing the most awesome sunsets. (I always take the sunrises from this direction) I dashed up onto the roof...
 and was rewarded with this...


For the next few mornings I made sure...

and captured these angel wings

    Wow Jo.... I usually see either a sunrise or a sunset on someone's blog--but never BOTH... You did GREAT...

    I especially love that sunrise with the angel wings.

    I love the contrail photo, the fact that you can see the plane is amazing. I had no idea your husbands name is Grant! That is Brilliant!!!! We are awesome people aren't we? :-)

    The sunset photos are amazing, That sun when it sets in Africa is still here in Mississippi, until we send it on to Australia.
