I grew up there while my dad worked on the diamond mine, but left a long time ago. I have always wanted to revisit. Could I contact you to find out what it is like today, and how feasible it would be to visit the mine as a tourist? If you do your research on feeding these birds, you will find that putting any food colouring in their water will promote the growth of tumours in them. Please warn people about this, it is not necessary, they will come to feeders if decorated with artificial red flowers..... Please spread the word. I can understand why you love to watch them at the feeder, and why you put the feeders there in the first place.
K
Kay L.
