I hope Prashant keeps it as beautiful as you have kept it. It's nice that you can still see it through the slats of the fence. It holds so many lovely memories for you and your family!

(((Hugs))) PatPathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04587300140099806425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-617652323643666421.post-31873376553577759712010-12-20T14:04:33.977+02:002010-12-20T14:04:33.977+02:00You've done what? You've done what?diane bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002292118984909883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-617652323643666421.post-89644595690138622962010-12-19T13:31:14.007+02:002010-12-19T13:31:14.007+02:00Hello, Jo! It was a wonderful idea to ask your neighbor, he seems to love it as much as you do. And you still have the garden around your house for your enjoyment.eileeninmdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00070309645796725309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-617652323643666421.post-49000015687492872252010-12-19T12:42:40.643+02:002010-12-19T12:42:40.643+02:00Hi Jo - what a fascinating project and great to se...Hi Jo - what a fascinating project and great to see it with a new owner who'll love it as much as you did - I love the hammock! It made me nostalgic for our old African gardens which we coaxed out of various climates in Tanzania - Miombo woodland was a challenge as we had wildlife and baboons visiting and eating our veg produce, while there was a danger from hippos at times, wandering up from the river. Then we had leopards in the mountains behind another house in the high plateaus near L. Victoria, and there was a high altitude garden in the Southern Highlands of Iringa where everything grew, but not everything fruited - like peaches got flowers but not enough cold for fruit. We had strawberries year round with irrigation We had flowers and shrubs from mulberry bushes to giant poinsettia and also agaves and other succulents thrived. Papaya wouldn't grow in this last garden but did in our two others. Thanks for sharing the memories and photos!
Happy Christmas from Ireland in the snow!
CatherineCatherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16116884676266268214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-617652323643666421.post-62662076594705483132010-12-19T03:16:35.909+02:002010-12-19T03:16:35.909+02:00Oh, Jo, what a surprise to find out you've sol...Oh, Jo, what a surprise to find out you've sold your beautiful garden. There is a saying that goes: Good fences make good neighbors. But in your case, good neighbors make good fences. Prashant seems to love his new garden--and I'm sure he will take good care of it...

Thanks for all of the info and pictures... You truly spent many many years in those big gardens. BUT--you still have plenty of garden left to enjoy.

Great fence... Hopefully that will keep the dogs out and the cats IN....

Thanks for the great blog.
Hugs,
BetsyBetsy Banks Adamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16223591156634767330noreply@blogger.com
