Just before midnight on Wednesday, I awoke. Grant was already awake and because we were both awake, Skabenga popped his huge head over his reclining yoomen dad and said:

Southern Double-collared Sunbird
Southern Double-collared Sunbird (Male)
The Southern Double-collared Sunbird is a small passerine bird which breeds in southern Africa. It is common in gardens, fynbos, forests and coastal scrub.
I was so pleased with this image of the Southern Double-collared Sunbird that I use it as the screensaver on my laptop.
