My Change of Direction

In order to hear the specific word of direction for me individually, I need to seperate myself from others and stand still before God to receive his council, design and plan for my life.

(When they reached the edge of town, Samuel told Saul to send his servant on ahead. After the servant had gone, Samuel said: "Stand still, for I have received a special message from God" 1 Samuel 9:27)

In my case, I am literally changing direction/locations for a while. Even though I am very comfortable and settled in my home here in South Africa and enjoying my garden, pets and family tremendously, I 'm gladly changing this for a flat on the first story in a built-up, dusty, sprawling city on the edge of the Nubian desert.

Later this week I fly up to Khartoum, North Africa, to live with my husband, in the older quarter of the city, Omdurman.
