Khartoum Hot Birds

Even though these aren't technically our pets, they visit the birdfeeder we erected on the balcony. We get a lot of pleasure watching them make good use of the seed, fruit and water bowl.

  3. I feel quite sad when I see birds with mouths held open like this! It must be a hot day for them to do this! We keep a large bowl of water on the verandah for the feathered ones!

  5. It's good that you provide a food and water station for them and because they visit regularly you can legitimately regard them as pets.

  6. ha-ha Bozo;) South African dogs also chase these birds but never catch them!

We get so much pleasure out of them, Sunny.

Hi Gemma;) good to see you. Yes, we have a shallow dish of drinking and bathing water on the feeder. They love it!

Hello Sandy;) thanks for popping in. Thanks for your kind comment.

Hi Jabblog;) yes, here in our dry, hot and dusty neighborhood, the birds sure seem to enjoy the treats.
