Waking up to yet another sandstorm in Khartoum, I thought I'd rather post a beautiful scenic scene from South Africa. (And yes, those are two people sleeping outside, in front of the green doors!)
The summer view from my bedroom in Marquard, South Africa...
My garden back home in South Africa

ReplyDeleteThat's quite a difference in scenery. I don't think I'd enjoy waking up to a sandstorm. It must get into everything.

It is quite a different view from South Africa. I find both very interesting. Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteJo, we have those sand storms in Arizona too. It gets really old after a while... Three square meals of sand daily...
ReplyDeleteboth are amazing views!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely garden you have. I wouldn't want to be caught in a sandstorm much less sleep outside in one :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a big difference in scenery. Your garden is so beautiful. I would love to stay in that kind of place..very relaxing and soothing.
ReplyDeleteWe have those sandstorms in here but not as frequent as compared to other parts of the Middle East.
I am so proud of you dear. I adore people who exert tremendous effort in learning other languages.
God bless and take care. Regards to your husband. He is so lucky to have you.
my best,

It is like chalk and cheese. Although I would say SA would be thick with tourists at the moment. Go the Socceroos. Looks like I can comment again. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteHi JO ,you have a beautiful green garden, compliments
ReplyDeleteWow, what a difference. From lush green to a brown out. Sure will make you appreciate the Bergs even more, if that's possible.
ReplyDeleteYour oasis will always be waiting for you... - BEAUTIFUL PHOTO!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a dust storm in Sydney a few months ago and I'm still finding places where the red dust managed to find it's way in.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
Hi Jo, what contrasting photos of your lifestyle!I know which one I would prefer, I hope the new doors kept some of that dust out of the apartment.
ReplyDeleteThe sand storms must wear your spirits down after a while! Yes, I much prefer your garden in South Africa. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast between the two views: two totally different worlds. Your current home may bring you lots of dust and sand but also lots of adventures and new experiences!
ReplyDeleteBoth places are beautiful--each in its own way... Right Jo???
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
