Forgiveness

Sunrise over the Nile. Another day, another blessing from the Lord God. Today we are reminded that we should not hold grudges but forgive those who have hurt us in the past. Let's do this and move forward in love and unity

Since God chose you to be the holy people whom He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. You must make allowance for each others faults and forgive the person who offends [or has offended] you. Remember, the Lord forgave you so you must forgive others. And the most important garment you must wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony. Colosians 3:12-14

Amen

The Arabic for love is Ḩb (not sure of pronounciation: Habb?i)
The Arabic for mercy is Rḩmh (pronounced Rachmah - as in German "nacht"
The Arabic for unity is Wḩdh (pronounced widdah)

  1. The deep gold over the Nile is so beautiful. I love that Biblical passage. If only more of us actually lived by those words!

  7. Amen sister Jo! Not by our might nor power but by His...It's not easy to forgive but if we truly accepted and understood the Lord more, we know what He wants...to always do everything in love.

That picture is amazing! God bless you and take care!

  8. Bitterness eats you up inside. The older people I meet who radiate joy are those who do not hold a grudge, and conversely, the grouchiest old folks are those who are bitter and have not forgiven someone for something.
