No gate necessary

On our recent trip into the desert to view the lesser-known pyramids at Meroe, I photographed the fence around the ruins

    Maybe some camels or donkeys rammed it? Probably not---probably humans did it with a vehicle.

    Was the fence to protect the pyramids? I don't like vandalism. Who does?
