Eddie belonged to John and Debbie. When they moved from Marquard to the Drakensberg in 2008, Eddy came to board with us. She never left. Eddie is a darling dog with the most energy I have ever seen in a dog. Eddy and Angie are great friends and often romp on the lawn with Megan barking on the sidelines
Megan, whom, like Angie below, we adopted from the SPCA, was 12 years old in October
Angie, our darling Labrador x often reminds me of Odie in the Garfield comic strips. She has the sweetest nature: is excellent with children and often Clarice lies and sleeps in between Angie's paws. I'm sure that at night, Tigger sleeps behind Angie in her basket out in the garage
Shadow at ten months, is the youngest cat in the Hedges household. Hopefully in 2011 he will be able to take care of himself in the garden!
Tigger, my oldest cat at 14 1/2, waits patiently for his evening snack of cat cookies (he and Chip have Cookies for Senior Cats)
Felix, Puff's brother, likes to recline on the pool table
Chip, our twelve-year-old dozy cat, actually scratched behind her ear here. I had to capture the moment!
Since she is no longer able to lie under a shrub at the top of the large garden (because I sold the garden!) Clarice is quite content to lie on the windowsill outside the office
Peering out from under the eaves, is Puff who spends his day up on the roof

Love all your beautiful animals, They all looked happy and well-loved!
ReplyDeleteWow! You have a lot of pets. How lucky they are :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope Shadow is settled in with no more battles in the cat hierarchy.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see photos of all of your pets.
I still can't believe you sold your beautiful garden, but I'm sure your neighbour appreciates it. Good thing you have that nice wide windowsill for Clarice.

Hi Jo!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog. Super to meet a fellow South African - you are my second SA follower, now ;)
I've joined as a follower of your blog, too - and look forward to catching up on your archives and keeping up with your new posts in 2011.
You have quite a menagerie at your home - we just have the three dogs (and pond fish & toad).
Wishing you all the best in 2011!!!
Ah, that's nice that I finally know all your pets one by one ! 12 years for a dog is quiet old ! Your other cats have the same age than mine except Rosie who is only 3 and will be 4 in May.
ReplyDeleteNow thats what I call a fantastc post! Happy New YEar to all of you.
ReplyDeleteThey are all adorable, Jo! I didn't know you had so many cats! Sheba would be jealous and try to convince them to move outdoors... :-)
ReplyDeleteJo, all your pets look so happy, healthy and relaxed. I love how cats have the ability to sleep comfortably almost anywhere. It's great that the pets seem to have accepted Shadow into the fold.
