Beautiful Africa

Returning from El Doret last week, we stopped at the highest point to admire the view. Note the twisted road on the way down.

The Great Rift Valley viewed from the east

Typical African scene: women with children on their backs and protected from the fierce sun by colourful umbrellas

  1. Love the umbrellas.
And I've wanted to see the Rift Valley for as long as I can remember.

  2. My father-in-law currently has a caretaker who hails from the Rift Valley in Kenya. I just made the connection with your blog! Interesting to see a photo of it.

  4. These ombrellas are so cute ! would look much better here in the rain, more cheerful than ours.
Beautiful excursion you did again ! Do you never see any tourists. One of my classmates is just in Kenya, but that must in other regions.
