I've recorded the beginning of my week as I "lost" two-and-a-half days being ill. I'm fine now, thanks for all the kind comments.
On Monday morning Sue, Ruth and I were driven up the mountain to Eldoret by company driver, Michael. We were on our way to shop for the company canteen.

Once we'd completed the shopping, we went to the Indian restaurant for a girl's lunch. As usual it was divine. When we returned to the valley, it was time to say goodbye to Ruth. She and Sue spent Tuesday through Thursday at Nakuru National Park and travelled to Nairobi. Ruth returned to South Africa on Friday. Next month Grant and I will to pop in to see Ruth at her home in Plettenberg Bay when we're out on our break in SA.
On Tuesday the other company driver, Zephania took me the fruit and vegetable market in Kimwarer Centre. Although it was pouring with rain, it was business as usual. While I slipped and slithered from vegetable vendor to fruit seller, Zephania popped over the road to Tamil's and bought me an umbrella - a great help!

Johan went out on leave to SA this weekend and joined us for a "farewell" dinner on Friday night. His mum, who lives in Pretoria, gave me the recipe for a popular South African dessert: Jan Ellis pudding. Jan Ellis was a well-known Springbok rugby player in the 60s and 70s, was the most capped player (38 times way back then) by the time he retired. Today there are several Springbok rugby players with more caps, for instance, John Smit with 103 caps, and many others.
Back to the pudding. Apparantly it was Jan Ellis' favourite pudding and to this day bears his name. I made it, the men tested it and pronounced it delicious.

*Note: I've been struggling to comment on many blogs lately. I also have a problem at the end of my posts; the comments sections is overwritten by the previous blog title. Kind bloggers have suggested I download Firefox which I've done. I hope this had helped.
I also changed my profile photo. Thanks to Sue for taking the photo while I was taking a photo!
