Caramel against the East African sky

While out birding on Tuesday, we stopped to watch (and, of course, photograph ) this machine. It's called a Cyclone and drains the silt from the dams. More than that I don't know. What I do know is that the spray made a wonderful show against the beautiful blue sky. I used my "sports" feature to capture these images.
As we three ladies mused while watching the Cyclone spin the mud into the air: "Mmm, just like caramel"

Thanks to Sandy, Wren and Sylvia for continuing this meme.

  1. Fantastic photos! Well captured!! My hubby travels quite a bit into 'Africa' - he never remembers to take a camera. Always says there's nothing to take photos of on mines etc - you proved him wrong!

  6. O.K., Jo! That did it. I absolutely MUST get an up-dated camera now. That second picture of the caramel cone of mud captured mid-air is as good as any magazine. GREAT work, Jo!

  7. For sure something completely else. There are not many people that capture working processes of machines . But this is a nice one. Well done.

  16. These are very pleasing-to-the-eye shots! It does look like caramel shooting up and dripping down in strings. I love the caramel color against the blue, blue sky.
