As we travel through the mine and even across Kenya, we find many herds of goats, sheep and cattle. These are the people's wealth and often their livelihood. On Sunday we came across this nanny goat and her very tiny kid. This was the smallest kid I have seen on site and I hope it survives. Only time will tell.

It is a lovely little one and seems to know which end of other the milk bar is on. A sweet little female, probably valuable to its owner and by the look of it, definitely a survivor.
ReplyDeleteThat cute little kid looks like a puppy dog.
ReplyDeleteThe goat kid looks healthy but very young, possible just a day or two. The mother has milk and seems to be fit - at least that would be the diagnosis if I met them here in West Africa. Beautiful little goat kid!
ReplyDeleteThat is a new one, so small! I hope she survives too.
ReplyDeleteAww so cute, mum is a little thin though-nice shots:)
ReplyDeleteOh, What a sweet baby Miz Jo!

Hi Jo, We have been in Gatlinburg for a couple of days -enjoying the Christmas lights with friends, and also enjoying the Smokies!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little kid. Hope he survives also...
Merry Christmas.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a little darling she is, Jo. I'm sure she'll be fine, she seems quite intelligent and accomplished for a newborn.
