Bishop spotted on the mine last Saturday
I've been trying to ID this bird and have come up with one possibility, a Black Bishop. It's locally common in Kenya and Northern Tanzania. I never saw bishops in Kenya; I'm still getting to know these here on the mine.

Fabulous colours, Jo.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about you, and thinking it's too early for you to have posted anything yet, but there you are, having posted a photo at 4:30am. Do you ever sleep?
Hope you and Grant and the cats continue to be well.

Wow! Looks like it should be a Halloween bird.
ReplyDeleteNow that is one beautiful bird. What a wonderful set of colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Jo, what a colorful bird. So pretty. It kind of reminds me of our orioles. Black and orange. Great sighting. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteNo idea but he's beautiful!
