Soft Tanzanian Skies

A backdrop of small hills and soft blue sky behind Shinyanga

Previously living in a valley within Kenya's Great Rift Valley, I miss the mountains which surrounded us. We now live in a very flat area of Tanzania. However, I was thrilled to see some small hills behind the town as we entered Shinyanga on our shopping trip this week!

  2. I'm glad you found some hills under all that wonderful blue sky. Lovely photo, Jo.
I didn't know about Shinyanga, but I looked up Mwanza on Google Maps today, because we're actually looking at safari ideas in Kenya and Tanzania. No plans, just looking, but thinking mid-November because everything depends on Dick's work schedule, of course.
It's such a long, long way for weary old me to travel, though. Like going to Australia.
