Hedges Cat Number Seven?

Or not!

Today as this post is aired, we'll be on our way to a neighboring town. We're taking Megan, our 13 year-old Maltese Poodle x Scottish Terrier to the parlor for her quarterly grooming. We're also taking Tigger, Emily's six-month-old kitten to be neutered. Fortunately the grooming and the operation both happen at the same place - the vet's surgery.
Emily's pretty kitten is in my bathroom. Chappie wasn't too sociable when I tried to introduce him to her!

Chappie will hopefully be more active playing with this ball in a tunnel

Meanwhile, we're fighting a [losing] battle with Chappie's weight. We are feeding her a measured amount of kibbles for spayed cats who're overweight. We also found a toy which she seems to like. It's a plastic "snake" in which she can tap a ball which lights up when it rolls along the tunnel. Let's hope all these efforts produce positive results!

I hope you're all having a great week. We're safely back from Durban and I hope to post about our wonderful weekend soon.

  6. No 7? Some people might think that is way too many cats, I have had that comment launched at me before but they usually stay mum when you explain that that is just one cat a day on a weekly basis.

  8. some cats just seem to stabilize at a heftier weight. maybe exercise will come by scheming and sneak attacks instead of snack attacks.
