Good fences and good pups!

And happy [two-week] birthday, pups!

Last week I posted about Sekaminya and team erecting a fence attached to the pups' shed. This is to keep them safe once they start to move around.

Yesterday the welder, Marima, arrived with his mobile welding machine and attached the gate that Sekaminya had made in the workshop.
Merima, wearing safety glasses, fits chicken wire to the gate while Princess lies nearby
Merima kindly posed for my photo
Am I an askari /gate guard dog now, Mum?

Since the weekend when I realized that Princess had wisely established a routine of feeding, cleaning and leaving the pups , they have slept almost all day - every day.
6.30am and Princess has given the pups their morning feed, washed them and left them to sleep!

Aaah, such togetherness!
Ergh, get your paw outta my ear!

Thanks to everyone who has followed the pups' progress since they were born two weeks ago today. They've become something of a pet project (excuse the pun!) and I'll probably post about them daily until they're old enough to leave. And then I'll keep an eye on them and write about it here!

I'm linking my post to Good Fences Thursday kindly hosted by TexWisGirl and which you can visit here

Here's wishing you all a wonderful day.

  14. Very nice enclosure for the pups. I'm curious as to why they need to remain in such an enclosure.
