New kid on the block!

It's happened! Ever since we lost dear Angie so suddenly at the end of November last year, we've been talking about a new dog. Not that we want to "replace" Angie. Neither did we want to get a new dog immediately. But a guard dog is a necessity on the yard; and since being in Marquard,  we've always had a big, black dog around.

Now we needed  wanted another dog !

Sooooo...
Meet the latest addition to the Hedges menagerie!
Feeling protected between Rina's boots
Grant calls him...
Ambrose crept up behind the cat
He gets to grips with his toy monkey
Aunty Chappie
He cuddles on his new, fluffy blankee.

Below is a video of the new baby - the first thing you hear is Grant asking if he's on the blog already! LOL!

So here's the "rat" that Ambrose smelled!

*SKABENGA HEDGES

Note: * Skabenga is a Zulu word meaning rascal or scaly-wag. It's often used in a loving way when addressing a small boy - i.e. Grant will walk past Joel, tousle his hair and say: How are you, Skabenga?

I'm linking my post to Our World Tuesday here
