Good fences, necessary barriers

I was in the city on Tuesday  for my annual medical check-up. It's now mid-winter in South Africa and was still pitch dark when we glided onto the N1 Highway. 
I grabbed my camera and snapped...
29 minutes later we drove through the Toll gate

    Reading Tex's comment I don't feel so crazy...the toll booth reminds me of a carousel! Bet you are glad to get home...hope all is okay.

    Yes a very necessary fence. Neat night time shots. TexWisGirl is right the toll gate does sort of look like a circus tent.
