Long-crested Eagle
The Long-crested Eagle is a medium-sized eagle. Its dark plumage and long crest is very distinctive.
Even though I wasn't able to duck the camera focus in between the lines, the bright yellow eyes and gape were easily visible
This eagle is a fairly common resident; largely sedentary
It eats mainly rodents and frequently hunts from telephone poles

ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking bird - wires or not. As I may have said before, I just don't seem to get many pictures of birds of prey. Must try harder.
