Summer Saturday Critters

Once again it's time to post the beautiful critters I came across this week. As usual they're not all critters in the true sense of the word: ie I post about a ride-on lawnmower on the course. And the waning moon (because I love posting about the moon). I'm grateful to Eileen for permitting me to post such an eclectic mix of critters on her meme.
The aforementioned ride-on mower and driver who keep the golf greens in pristine condition.
Yesterday the dogs and I were on the course before sunrise. The bovine beasts didn't deign to get up that early and just looked on while I snapped Skabenga and the handsome horse
On Thursday we were on the course a little later. The one young ox ran along the fence to catch up with us - he didn't approach me, but Skabenga. Then "my" ox approached in a sedate manner and greeted me. Now Skabenga and I have an ox each: his is right and mine is on the left!
My friend always tries to lick me and the camera lens. Here the long tongue just missed their target!
No critter post is complete without my beautiful Lab, the sun rising behind him
Skabenga is still in training (and still learning *sigh*) so when I command him to "sit" I expect him to do so. Even if there is a huge dog barking behind a fence tantalizingly nearby
He swung his head towards the challenging barker but only for a nano second!
A close-up of the flower I photographed along the sidewalk on our walk home; my assistant sat patiently while his yoomen did this!
A gold-colored insect on my front step yesterday morning

I love the textures of the moon as you zoom in

HAPPY SATURDAY TO YOU ALL!
