Good fences, great flamingo sighting

Yesterday afternoon friend and local builder, Peter, phoned me. He wanted to tell me that there was a flock of flamingos on the town dam. I picked up my camera, jumped into the car and drove to a spot on a hillock overlooking the dam.
The vantage point from which I photographed the flamingos (can you see them on the left side of the dam?)
The fences shows off the countryside of grass just going off-color and the trees in the middle distance
Greater flamingos socializing in the same waters as several Hottentot Teal and a few other water birds
