Critters in Marquard

Hi everyone, at last I'm home long enough to post on my blog. As I mentioned in last week, one given  throughout my busy life recently is the dogs and I still walk the golf course most days. Now the birds are returning and I managed to photograph several waterbirds, waders and geese.
Egyptian geese (male on right)
Three-banded Plover (not a very good image - it was far away on the other side of the dam)
Black-winged Stilt

Other critters enjoy the muddy banks created by the receding dam water
Wildflowers...
...abound...
...on the fairway
Returning home we pass our favorite friendly dog lying on his lawn
Skabenga waits patiently...
...while the FFD poses for me!
In my office, I quickly snapped this praying mantis on the net curtain and then shooed it outside. (before Shadow saw it!)

I'm linking to Saturday Critters with Eileen here

HAPPY SATURDAY TO YOU ALL!
