Southern Masked-weaver

When I reached the river on Monday (and Skabenga had a good, deep plodge) I photographed a weaver in  a shrub nearby. There were no nests in this shrub, so I wondered why he was here. He made good photo ops though.

    yellow is the color of joy for me, and this is one joyful looking bird, even his black mask is beautiful
