However, somehow the Internet has played ball since 3am today and I'm making hay while the sun shines.
Not to put too fine a point on it: I am STILL tied to my bed with a vacuum pump attached to my leg. The good news is that the wound has healed completely. Yay. The sister will apply a conventional dressing on Monday morning and go home with the pump in her big black doctor's bag. She visits me again on Thursday and I think that should be that. From Monday I will return to the farm office next door and earn my keep again!
Having more time, while browsing through my archives, I came across several bird photos which I'm sharing here below.
Amethyst Sunbird (Drakensberg circa summer 2016)
Fork-tailed Drongo (Marquard Summer 2015)
Jackal Buzzard (Drakensberg 2019)
Malachite Sunbird - Male (Marquard late summer 2015)
Village Indigobird - non-breeding male or female (Marquard - 2015)
Southern Red Bishop - breeding male (Marquard 2015) Southern Double-collared Sunbird Male (Drakensberg - summer 2016)
Village Indigobird - non-breeding male or female - Bokeh effect (Marquard 2015)
I don't know about you, but I'm still trying to get to grips with the different "look' of Blogger now. I'm linking to Saturday Critters with Eileen, here
HAPPY SATURDAY TO YOU ALL
Hello, Jo
ReplyDeleteI am learning the new blogger now too, there a few things about it I do not like. I am glad to hear you have healed and are doing better. Your bird images are just beautiful, I love all the Sunbirds and the Red Bishop. The Buzzard is an awesome bird. Great post. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, have a great weekend!
I am thrilled by your beautiful bird life, the photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreetings Elke
Great selection of birds there Jo. Good to know you're nearly there. Why no Google insist on changing things when it works just fine as it is? Follow the money.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your good report. Take care of yourself and take it easy. Love seeing these bird photos...they are spectacular!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started using a new Vlog up that drove me crazy because I couldn't find anything I still prefer the old one but at least I'm navigating this one. Beautiful birds from your archives and I am so glad to hear that you are getting rid of that pump and if you can go back to your office and do your work there.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Jo, I've just been back to read all about your horrible fall and following consequences. I think we are all a bit guilty of not taking things seriously enough, lesson to be learnt there for sure. Was lovely to have your feline friends and two legged 😊 friends to help out and keep you company. What is the situation like where you are re the virus? We have been lucky here in WA, our Premier closed our borders very quickly and is determined not to open them again until NSW and Victoria get their act together. Take care of yourself, don't try and do too much too soon 💜
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing better - and huge thanks for this generous splash of feathered enchantment.
ReplyDeleteI have gone back to 'legacy blogger' for the moment. New blogger was doing my head in. Further doing my head in.
The bird photos are beautiful, Jo. Glad you are doing well and finally healed. Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteLove all the bird photos. So glad to hear that you have healed.
ReplyDeleteOuch!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds.
So glad you are on the mend and will get a clean bill of health. Love all the birds, many I even recognize.
