These are such great photos. I haven't got the camera and zoom to capture beautiful moons like this. Great captures. Thanks for sharing Jo and have a great weekend. Smiles
Hi Pat;) good to see you. Thanks for your kind comment!
Hi Carolyn;) seeing your visit again, reminds me to pop over to you. I've had a houseful of delightful visitors (darling grandchildren and their parents) so been offline for a week.
Hi luna miranda;) welcome to my blog!
Hi Gaelyn;) thanks for your comment - it woke me up! (LOL!) See next post... Thanks for visiting. I was so proud of my moon photos as I've been trying to capture them for years (since acquiring a digital camera in 2005) I have not yet had any success with the moon at night.
Hi Guy;) as always I consider it such a compliment to hear your comments. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Debbie;) good to see you again. Yes, I always avoided taking photos with powerlines in the picture. Then I visited a blog of a professional photographer (forgotten his name, sorry!) and he had brilliant shots in Europe where he lived with powerlines in them. I decided to start looking at the sky in a different way and had fun taking these shots of the moon that particular morning. Have a blessed weekend.
Beautiful!

Lovely big moon. I have tried capturing it in the past but without much success. You've inspired me to try again.

Hi freegal1000;) welcome to my blog. LOL, it is a good tune from youth and I kept singing it while photographing the moon SETTING!
Hi luvmyboys;) thanks for the kind comments and for visiting my blog.
Hi Esther;) yes, isn't the African moon something else...
Hello Laura;) thanks!
Hi Regina;) so good to see you. thanks for popping in.
Great moon shots. Power lines usually annoy me when I'm taking photos but I love your first one where the lines seem to slice the moon in pieces.
