Sunny Sunflowers

It's quite a challenge to find something "scenic" in the normal sense of the word here in the city. Until we drive out into the desert, I will continue to post scenic scenes from South Africa. The photo was also taken on the day I left South Africa to fly to North Africa

South Africa is the world's tenth largest producer of sunflower seed, with an annual harvest of between 175 000 and 630 000 ton. Sunflower seed is produced on the Mpumalanga highveld, in the North-West and the Free State.
