Bathtime!

As we sat in the garden last week, a male Southern Masked weaver arrived for a bath in my small bird bath. I managed to capture him having a wonderfully refreshing time

Bwooowhdllll!
Ah, shake the water outta the ears
One last dip...
And ready for another day of nest building to impress the ladies
No sooner had the weaver left, when a young Karoo Thrush arrived for a dip

Whoopee!

I'd betta wash behind my ears else mum will come scrub them!

Okay, that's me done!

  4. Wow---that yellow bird is gorgeous... I'm sure he enjoyed his bath --but I'm not sure he was happy with that woman taking his pictures... ha

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  6. Too, too cute!!! I absolutely love it when the birds splash around in the baths & other water features I've specially set up for them :) One of the BEST gifts in life, having birds visit us!
