  1. Dear dear Shadow, you were really used to ruling the roost in Khartoum, weren't you? Poor fella.
    Jo -- there is a reflection or something on the arm of the chair, right where Shadow's chin should be. I know his chin is behind the arm, and yet I can almost see it there. Maybe it's the reflection of his nose or his forehead.

  6. My mom would on occasion use the phrase, "He's living the life of Riley," to mean someone has a life of ease, fun, luxury, etc. That's what Shadow is doing--living the life of Riley. I'm not sure where that expression comes from. He certainly is a beautiful cat!
