Wimbledon 2011

Maria Sharapova, more mature, more professional and much stronger than when she won Wimbledon as the first Russian in 2004

My sister, Rose, who lives in the UK and works for IBM, has scored tickets to Wimbledon today.

Andy Murray in full cry

The men's semi finals are playing out this afternoon: Djokovic vs Tsonga and Andy Murray vs Nadal. Murray and Nadal are good friends off court and often play football and tennis on Playstation.   OK so now, instead of doing my chores, writing my queries or working on my articles (works in progress at this stage) I'm off to sit in front of the telly and watch the match between Djokovic and Tsonga! I'm expecting a classic!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

  4. What an opportunity for your sister. I hope she enjoys it. Watching a match at Wimbledon is something I would like to do before I die.

  5. How exciting to actually watch the matches in person at Wimbledon.
We've been watching a little and keeping up with the winners. It's always interesting.

  6. Wonderful that you can now get the telly in Kimwarer Valley. I'm assuming you have a satellite dish. While we were in the country MAF was the first ones to offer us a little better contact with the "outside" through E-mail. We had only one TV station then (KTV) and it only came on from about noon onwards. ☺
