Eating out in Durban

Above is a vegetable briyani (in copper pot) with cucumber raita above that and naan bread to the left
The beautiful facade of our favourite Indian restaurant in Durban

On my birthday two weeks ago, we visited my mother-in-law and husband in Durban. Afterward, as we usually do, my husband and I popped into a popular shopping mall for lunch. Because we were in Durban, the obvious choice of food is Indian. (That and the fact that we both love Indian food!) Durban is a real melting pot of influences: the African, European and Asian cuisines are all represented in the city. You can especially enjoy the Indian food, as Durban houses a large Indian population.
