A blog written at present from South Africa and updated daily about my life as an expat wife past and present and erstwhile experiences on various mines on the African continent
Still at home in South Africa, I'm enjoying my family, garden and pets immensely. Below are a few photos of said garden. (My granddaughter can be seen picking flowers in the first photo)
I'm South African, and live in a part of my beautiful country with wide open spaces and vistas that
go on forever.
My earliest recollection is of living in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe (then known as Southern Rhodesia) With my family I returned to South Africa in the mid-sixties. Later I met and married the man of my dreams. Since 1990 my husband and I have lived and worked as expats on the diamond mines of Namibia and later, the gold mines in Mali and Guinea, West Africa. Currently my husband is working in the Sudan.
I'm a born-again believer committed to living a Purpose-Driven Life, serving God through my music ministry and obedience to His holy Word.
I love gardening and spend every available hour in my primarily indigenous and waterwise paradise. At the same time, I'm not averse to doing (weather permitting!) "indoorsy stuff" like journaling, scrapbooking, piano playing, writing, cooking/ baking and reading!
So join me on a memorable meander through my garden, while I share God's many blessings with you.
