Back in Mwadui

We arrived home on camp in Mwadui on Tuesday. It has taken me  this that long to set up my Internet but at least I'm online and back on Blogger again!

Thanks to all for the well-wishes for Grant's eye surgery. It went well - more about that soon! We also had a good journey back from South  to East Africa which was an added blessing.
Hard to believe we toured through the Karoo, South Africa ten days ago with snow on the mountains

To arrive in Mwadui to blue skies and hot, dry conditions!

I wish you all a wonderful weekend ahead.

  1. Super to see/hear from you, Jo. It seems to be the season for husbands and surgery, and a good thing everyone is better rather than not.
We'll be home Monday, so you and I can do some catching up, maybe by e-mail.
Hi to Grant, kisses to the kitties from Auntie Kay.

  3. I am so glad you made it to Tanzania safe and sound and that you had a good journey. I was beginning to wonder what happened to you and said my prayers instead of bombarding you with email which you likely wouldn't have received anyway.

It is hard to believe that you went from snow covered mountains to desert like conditions in a few short hours. If I remember correctly, you prefer heat/warmth. Love and hugs.

  6. Hi Jo, glad you are both back safe and sound after the hospital and travelling.Africa has such contrasts from one place to the other, snow and sunshine in one day!

  8. I'm glad you had a safe (though long) trip back to the camp. What a contrast in the climate between the snowy mountains in SA and the hot, dry conditions in Mwadui!
