Saturday Critters

I'm not sure why I'm not seeing little insects to photograph for the critter post. I managed one beetle and when I downloaded the photo/s, the plant it was on was in sharp focus while the subject (said beetle) was blurry. 
A weaver - not sure if it's a juvenile Southern Masked-weaver - so just enjoy...
I resorted to taking photos of my trusty pups (Eddie being the ancient one) behind each wildflower
Close-ups of these yellow buds show beautifully against the backdrop of mountains

These huge flat-leafed lilies are a sight to behold after the rains
My crazy Labrador loves to spring into and...
 ...plodge through...
...every puddle on the our walks
