Good fences, great birds

When we stopped to photograph the flamingos on the body of water at the sewage works, I also zoomed in on the fencing. It's one of the only kind - concrete slats slipped in diagonally -  I have seen in my travels and while photographing fences. In the past we were able to drive up to this purified body of water.

Now it's fenced in.
I noticed a couple of  slats missing
in the section featured in the first photo
Another angle of the fence with half of Lion Head (Marquard's mountain) in the background
The fencing is neat and secure; Lion Head in all its glory in the background
Local cattle graze on the edge of the dam

  7. Very unusual construction. Everything is fenced in these days, it wasn't like that when I was growing up.
