Prayer for Queensland

In view of the disaster in Queensland and even later still the Brisbane residents being urged to evacuate their homes, one can only beseech the Almighty God to step in and "still the storm" You also hear people say: "we're praying for you," which is wonderful, but do we literally stop and pray? I hereby send this heartfelt prayer to the Father God:

Almighty Lord God, You and only You can still the horrific waters and deluge sweeping across Queensland today. I beg you to command the wind to be still and the rain to stop, in Jesus' precious name. Thank You, Father God. Amen

  1. Amen. (I am praying for Queensland. The devastation is massive and only God can help).

  2. That's wonderful, Jo. We all need to be told to stop and do as we say we're doing, for the people of Queensland where my young brother and I so enjoyed visiting many years ago, and for everyone in the world who is suffering because of disasters of many kinds. Your prayer is perfect.

  3. I'm praying for them, too. We have friends in Brisbane, and I'm worried about them.

  4. Amen to that.
And a good reminder for us all to keep our own promise to pray for the Queenslanders.

  5. Amen!

My sister lives in Brisbane, but on a hillside - they have a holiday home on the Gold Coast - so far, this has not affected them, thank goodness.

My parents live at a retirement complex in Caloundra - 1.5 hours N of Brisbane - they too have not been adversely affected.

  7. Amen, Jo, prayer is needed everywhere in these days. I haven't visited in a while as I have been dealing with health issues. I pray your rain stops soon...
