Ginger, a day in the life of...

Over the weekend we had two troops of monkeys challenging each other with loud barking calls  from various parts of our garden. Ginger picked up on the agression and sat in the safety of the house watching and listening

Relaxing, once he knew the monkeys had disappeared for the day, Ginger settles on the mat in my bedroom

Every morning Ginger waits for me to get dressed and then he runs ahead down this passage to the living area

Up to half a dozen monkeys sit in this Frangipani tree early in the morning and late afternoon and peer through my office window at me. Here the coast is clear and Ginger has use of the tree for a change!

Ginger's agility belies - what we think is - his great age

Then it's the first nap of the day taken on the stump just off the front veranda

  6. That is hilarious about the two bands of monkeys having a verbal battle!

Ginger looks so healthy and content. And he is so agile for and elderly cat!

  7. Ginger has an interesting life, listening to monkey battles for entertainment, and then reclaiming their tree after the monkeys go home. She seems perfectly content, either way.

  8. What a grand life Ginger has, though I can imagine the monkey shenanigans would have been upsetting for him...lol!! Lucky for both of you that the house came with a cat...:)

  9. He looks like a fun boy. Mandu likes to precede me down the hallway every morning, too. He looks so perfect against the wooden floor.
