I've had herbs in pots on the verander and also individually planted in my flower beds: Parsley, basil, coriander, mint and chillies. Last week Stanley and I potted a few into smaller containers and I have them in my kitchen window. Yesterday morning as the sun rose behind the herbs, I grabbed my camera and took a few photos.

Although it's the beginning of autumn/fall here in our part of the world, there is hardly any difference in the weather. The sun rises at approximately the same time every morning because we're so close the the Equator. (We are +- 60km's northwest of this Line). The rain will ease off, the deciduous trees are already shedding their leaves and the perennials in my garden will die down. The swallows, sunbirds, storks, fish- eagles, weavers, flycatchers, robin-chats, bulbuls, doves and many more are building nests in the valley as I type. This must be the most beautiful place I have ever lived.
