Critters, plants and children

This week I have a real mix of plants, critters and children for this post.

I've had an indoor plant which flowers during the winter. Rina moved the plant stand slightly but it's still blooming on time and beautifully.

Schlumbergera truncata

Common name: Thanksgiving Cactus or Claw Cactus
Black-collared Barbets in a tree in Amanda's garden
This one fed on fruits found on a shrub

And of course, our grands from next door playing with the puppy!

I'm linking to Saturday Critters with Eileen here

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

To answer your question, the app for recording the steps I take during the day for my ANDROID phone is called Noom. There are several apps by this name...it's ONLY the step counter that I installed. Takes VERY LITTLE battery power to work and on all the time your phone is on. Found at Google's Play Store

  6. We call it a Zygo cactus. Yours is beautiful. The little colourful birds are cute but not as cute as puppy and the grands.
