Happy Birthday Angus

Today is our younger son, Angus' birthday. He is 32 years old, married to Amanda and is dad to Joel, who is 16 months old. Angus and Joel's hair is very short in these photos taken on Mother's day last week, as a month ago they both had their heads shaved in a fundraising event for cancer. Angus is a fun-loving and community-minded man who loves and cares for his family as he should.

On Saturday afternoon, he, Amanda and Joel arrived for tea and melktert (A traditional milk tart). I thought he looked like a French artist and just had to snap him for this birthday blog.

Meet Mad Max

Mad Max playing peek-a-boo under the carpet exactly as Shadow does!

No, we don't have a new cat! While visiting friends of ours in Kwa-Zulu Natal recently, we met their crazy new kitten, Mad Max. We were enarmoured with this little guy as he looked almost identical to Shadow and also had the same mannerisms, attitude and character traits.

Scenic Golden Gate

Last week we motored down to Kwa-Zulu Natal to visit John, Debbie and children. We also especially wanted to share little Elijah's birthday in advance. This was the sunrise scene which greeted us on the way down through the Golden Gate Highlands National Park

Minutes later we crested a hill and were met with this early morning, misty scene. Isn't it beautiful?
