Back in SA

Hi everyone! We landed in SA ten days ago already. Sorry I've not been on blogger but it's summertime and in the Free State that means thunderstorms. Which means the added threat of lightning which plays havoc with laptops,, cordless telephones and household appliances. The computers remain switched off at the wall plug point for most of the day.

On top of that it's been catch - up time with friends and family.

Last week we had mom-in-law over for a visit. We normally see her at the retirement center  but Grant wanted to give her an outing so he fetched her and we sat under the awning and had tea and milk tart.

Later we took Pam home; at the same time we checked up on our unit on whose building has at last been started.

Window height is always an encouraging sight

I'll be online again later this week. Until then, you all have a wonderful day.

  6. Welcome back to your home in SA! I understand why you are awol from blogger. It is understandable since you have family, a friend, and your MIL and a new unit to build. You've got lots of new stuff going on in SA. I'm so glad it is summer and you can enjoy the beautiful sun and warmth. Pam looks very content to be living in her new town. I hope it won't be long now before the residence is ready. Big hugs. xx
