The largest part of my life nowadays

I just had to  come back onto blogger in my "hectic"  schedule (sic!)  and   prove  that I have  plenty rest.

I arrive at the little art and gift shop  I manage at  8.30  in the morning. I open,  set up my display  on the veranda and then I  plug in my laptop and...

wait...

and wait.

the  first visitors to the center arrive at 11 am - no  earlier during the week.  On a  Saturdays customers start to arrive a little earlier.

I  also  don't work  in  a busy supermarket packing  shelves  or  standing at  a check-out all day.  No, I  sit  in front of my  desk  and  do '"other" things, like posting on  FB  or blogger  for  eight  hours a  day.

I'm  my  own  boss here  in  the shop so  there's no stress...

I  interact  with the other shopkeepers and the customers  so II'mm  not  lonely or isolated.  I do a taigalates (stretching-type)   class for  an hour  before  work once  a week.  I open  late that day  as the  artist's  wife is in class with me. I still  do my 5km  Parkrun every Saturday and  open late that  day.

In  between I  go  to breakfast with  friends; once a month a business lunch with  Steve and  Estelle  (always enjoyable) and  tea parties with  friends.

Every  day I  arrive home at 4pm  and  Skabby  and  I walk  on the farm.  This past  summer, I've  taken  him  out  at 7 am  every  day too.

Once a month I  have my nails and toenails  gelled. I  lie back  and relax for two  hours  while  Jessica treats me.

AND

This  is the cherry  on  top.

Every single  night  - every  night  I  am  in bed  with  the   cats and a good  book...

...wait for it...

by 6.30pm.

Tonight  is my only late  night  in  the  month  -  Probus - I get to bed by  10pm)

Soooo kind  folks;

I  get  more than enough time off, recreation and rest.

I've been posting about my activities to keep a record of my life.  I would like to continue to share what I'm  doing and  hope you all realize  that  I'm  not  running myself  ragged. I don't want to get put off by criticism on everything I've done and now am posting about.
Pure boredom . This would be me if I didn't have other things to do in a very long day with very little work...

  5. I imagine I could only be in bed by 6:30 if I was sick, or hadn't slept the night before.

  7. Well now that is good to know you are not working yourself into the ground. Only one suggestion. as you get to the shop at 8.30 am but customers do not arrive until 11 am on weekdays, why not open a little later.

  9. Looks like you have found the very best schedule for you Jo - that's the way it should be.
I could not go to bed that early if I tried - sometimes I wish I could reverse my late nights and not getting up before sunrise, but that would be a bit of a strain. . . . . . . and at 75 I guess I feel I can and should do what I want, haha!!!

Gel nails and good haircuts - they are so important too, haha!!!! Got mine yesterday.

  10. I could never get to sleep if I went to bed by 11pm. I usually head to bed around 3am after reading for a few hours. I enjoy the peace at that time in the early morning.
