Worship God's Availabilty

The Lord Almighty is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. (Psalm 46: 11)

The Lord Almighty is here among us. If we put our lives in His hands, we can rest confident that He will protect us. He knows our weaknesses and can strengthen us, helping us to overcome attacks we face each day. It is true that our enemies are strong, but God is far more powerful than anything that might assail us. Amen!

  1. This exact thought has gotten me through a lot of trials and struggles of being in a foreign land. Thanks for sharing it.

  2. Hi Jackleen, when I post under this label, it's when I've been led by the Holy Spirit to do so. I don't want this post to become mechanical. I'm also facing a few trials at the moment and this is what I felt I had to write. So glad you found it a blessing as well. (((Hugs)))

  5. Too right, as long as you are not silly and expect God to do your vacuuming as well.

Thanks for your comment, we used to call it Sacred I bis as well until I checked in my new bird book and discovered that if was now called the White Ibis... I do wish they would leave the names alone, just like renaming plants whose botanical names are firmly engraved on my brain.

  6. I agree Arija; there is a saying: God feeds the birds but He doesn't throw food into their nests! Re the bird names: while living in West Africa, I bought a bird book called Birds of Africa South of the Sahara. I'd just become interested in birdwatching and learnt the new names for our region (which this book was the pioneer for) My husband who has been a "bird boffin" since the '80's still refers to some of the birds by their old names although he's slowling eradicating them from his memory and replacing them with the new ones. I think I was blessed because I didn't know any better - ha-ha! I LOVE your blog and try to visit it often.
