Last Wednesday I gave the children a written quiz on my presentation the day before.
All heads bent, pencils scribbling away answering the quiz questions on the sheets I typed out at home
Have "table" will write!
The little girl on the left is from the "baby school" She sat and watched her brother writing his answers
I return on Wednesday (tomorrow) to hand out a prize for the one who understood the questions the best. This is not necessarily the learner who had many correct answers; I'm looking for a budding journalist or two!

How neat, Jo... I'm so impressed at the way those children look. Love the uniforms... That is awesome. I'm sure they are learning alot from you!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
I'll be very interested to see how you've decided the results of this quiz, Jo.
ReplyDeleteI think the students are very fortunate to have you there, but you're equally lucky to have them.
Luv, K
I can imagine the children are very excited to see who won! I'm sure you are going to find a budding journalist amongst the group. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteSuch earnest looking young students, clearly eager to learn and give of their best. It's wonderful you are helping with their skill's development, Jo and exposing their young minds to a valuable avenue of self expression. I hope you are now well on the mend, health wise! Hugs xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe children seem to be concentrating on the questions. Interesting project. I sometimes ask them to make up the quiz questions, and I find that I don't know the answers to many of their questions on sports!
ReplyDeleteVery very interesting post! What a chance you have living a such experience in Africa! I am teacher in France in a preschool and fall in love with your pictures! Sounds the pupils are very applied and serious!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find a couple of potential journalists!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful faces!! Love what you do for them!
ReplyDeleteI loved that "have table, will write" thought. It reminded me of how blessed our nation here is to have all the tables and chairs and other equipment with which we study.
ReplyDeleteHello, Jo! I hope they all surprise you. They do all look like beautiful children. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed at how much you exert yourself to help these children on their way.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't you still be taking it easy instead of typing out questions?
You are a very conscientious teacher, Jo, and you have some very conscientious-looking students! I'm curious to hear about the winner's answers.
