Spoiled kitties of the Hedges household

Hello Mum's blogger friends; this is Ambrose with a healed paw! Thanks for all the kind wishes.

Mum took photos this week of we kitties having breakfast - mostly in bed!
Missy had breakfast on Mum's bed
I, Ambrose, was served on the chair under the veranda table
Mama is old school, and got up for breakfast
Last week, Chappie was shown here - on the kitchen counter
And it's cold now so we kitties are sitting around the hot spot

But when Mum brings out the vacuum cleaner, I am the only one who isn't afraid of the noise

Hedges pets practice social distancing

Mom's dear Blogger friends. This is Ambrose. Although we kitties and Skabby don't know what social distancing is, yesterday some of us seemed to be practicing it. Mum was talking about a global pandemic.

*Sigh* I wish Unca Shadow was here to explain THIS to me.

One of the rules the authorities have set in place is for humans to keep their distance from each other. They are also not allowed to hug or touch each other. Phew. I am pleased that this isn't the same for us. Mum has been stroking and cuddling us all our lives. We'd hate to be distanced from her now.

What humans don't always realize is that we animals always keep a respectful distance from another unless we really are friends and like to cuddle together.  This way we respect each  other's space. If we bumbled into another without permission, we are hissed at.

At last!

Dear Mum's blogger friends; this is Ambrose. At LAST Mum has a cool new notebook and has allowed me to put my paw to print. Things have been restful here in the Hedges Kitty household . For one, Missy, is acting more responsibly now. She is out on the veranda for the most part of the day while Mum works in her outdoor office.

Unca Shadow always told me he "had my back" so here I am "getting Missy's back!" Here I am protecting Missy from the dogs next door who can just be seen on the other side of the fence - see between the far chair slats!
Mama and I have called a truce, but she still stays far away when I am near!

This is Chappie in her normal relaxed pose

Skabby, the big dog isn't in the photos. But he is still protecting Mum and us kitties well.

Mum wasn't well for a while last year and missed the post about Bozo going to Doggy Heaven. She told me today. 💔

Rest in Peace, Bozo

The feline scribe is back

Hello to our Mum's blog readers. This is Ambrose, the only male kitty in the Hedges household. Skabby the friendly Lab is also a boy. He and I are very good friends.
Mum has been reminding me that she's back on blogger and I should write a post about the lady kitties in our family.
As always, there's Chappie who has been in the family since my Dad Ginger and Unca Shadow were still with us
Ambrose: the man of the family!

Mama cat, my Nemesis, is all blurry!
Mama rolling on the bed and being all blurry again!
Missy is now two years old!
The most energetic of all the kitties
 She wanted "up"
She's the most agile of all the kitties as well!
She got "up" onto the rafters on the veranda!
And then surveyed the garden from up there!

Luckily Skabby has been shaved. It's very hot at the moment

Mum says I must say:

Happy Tuesday to you all !

Ambrose is back as kitty journalist!

Hi Bozo and Mum's blog readers; this is Ambrose back on Blogger after a L O N G time. We are all well and being cared for Mum. She is home a LOT more which is great for us kitties and Skabenga (Mum posted about him eating peanut butter on the lawn yesterday, so I don't have photos of him today)

  1.  I, Ambrose, am now the Alpha male and sometimes feel trapped among three girl cats! How I miss my dad Ginger and Unca Shadow

Mama Cat lives mainly in the bedroom because I can't bring myself to accept her. I think Mum feels now she is home more often, she'll manage to integrate us. I wonder...
Missy is everyone's darling; we all love her and she is constant company for Mama Cat because she tends to open doors (jumps on the handle and pulls the door open) and has had a narrow escape with the dogs next door when she got out of the window while Mum was away. Phew!
Chappie is still the cat who calls incessantly for cookies - whenever she sees Mum or Thandiwe

All the kitties

Hi Bozo and Mum's blog readers; this is Ambrose with the news of the Hedges kitties. As usual everything is perfect in our house!

Mama Cass Cat is still in the bedroom. She and Missy are great friends
Aunty Chappie has moved her sleeping chair (because I took her over!)
Missy has taken to sleeping with me
I had my Dad Ginger and Unca Shadow when I arrived. She has no-one
So I have taken her under my wing paw!

Ghostly Missy and eating kitties

Hi Bozo and all Mum's blog readers; this is Ambrose. I have some funny photos of Missy behind the curtain in Mum's bedroom. We were all eating but she wanted to see the spider rather...
Missy wasn't interested in our evening kibbles. She was off...
 ...to spot the spider!

Aunty Chappie loves this time of the day!
The dog, Skabby had finished his bone and came in to lie next to Mum's desk
Mama still eats her kibbles in Mum's bedroom

Hedges Kitties

Hi Bozo and Mum's blog readers;  this is Ambrose with an update on the kitties at home. So far I am still the only adventurous kitty who is allowed outdoors. Aunty Chappy does come out as well, but not as much as I do.

Here I, Ambrose, sit on the garbage can outside the back door
Mama cat still stays in Mum's bedroom. I bet she can't believe the change in her life from a stray cat to pampered kitty in Hedges Paradise
Missy isn't allowed outside without Mum watching her.
The dogs next door are waiting to catch her
Aunty Chappie was making her bed under the desk,  for the night and wouldn't even look up when Mum took the photo

New Kitty?

Hi Bozo and Mum's blog readers; this is Ambrose with news of a new kitty in the house - or not?

Earlier Mum came home with a box which made squeaky noises. We all knew Mum had brought home another kitty - a small one.  I ignored it but Missy was very angry.  Mama and Aunty Chappie didn't mind the new baby.
Missy is very jealous of the new baby
She forgot for a bit while she and Aunty Chappie played in a shopping bag
I, Ambrose, spend much time outdoors in the sun or at the dairy (which is where the baby kitty came from)
My favorite dog, Skabenga is also interested in the new baby in the house
Aunty Chappie says as long as it doesn't sleep on my chair!

The baby kitten is as small as one of Mum's beauty thingy's

Mama Cass was quite interested in the baby

And suddenly the kitten was taken to the next door lady who loves cats.  Phew. I think Mum is relieved that she doesn't need to get Missy to accept the baby any longer.

Ambrose Hedges pet post

Hi Bozo and all Mum's blog readers; this is Ambrose with news about the Hedges pets. As always we're all resting and enjoying the life Mum has created for us.
Here I, Ambrose relax on Mum's computer case. She's just arrived home from work
Aunty Chappie was woken from her slumbers as Mum snapped her
 Photobomb of Missy!
Missy gazing at the wall in case the spider reappears
Mama Cass is queen of her bedroom. I don't go in there as we still don't see eye to eye!
 My favorite dog, Skabenga
He sleeps indoors at night. So do we kitties
