At the moment both Joel and Abby are in hospital in Bloemfontein. They both have bronchial pneumonia; on Wednesday morning, Abby seems to have rallied and is on the mend,

Little Joel on Tuesday evening after the first medication had been administered by drip
He had a restless night, the effects of which were visible in those droopy eyes the next morning

Of course, Grant and I are worried about the little ones, but living so far away, all we can do (and are doing) is to lift the children up to the Lord for complete healing.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,

Oh, Jo, it is so sad to see little Joel looking like that. I'm glad Abby rallied so well, but I'll be praying for both of them, and for Angus and Amanda.
ReplyDeleteI know how it is to be far away and unable to do anything. I've had a chest infection for more than a month, and shortly after I got it, my niece's husband was rushed from our hometown in the suburbs to Vancouver General Hospital, with leukemia. He was expected to be home yesterday, but he had a fever and his blood pressure was low. My niece has to explain these things to their daughter, who is 5, and it isn't easy. I wish I could be there to help but, of course, with an infection, I am ordered to stay in Alberta until I'm completely healthy.

Oh dear Jo! My thoughts and prayers are with these little ones. I'm so glad Abbey has rallied and I pray Joel will rally soon. I too just learned of a little boy relative of 9 years, Koby, who has been admitted to hospital by air ambulance. They don't know what is wrong with him but he has been suffering for some time. I know that God cares for these little ones and we do well by praying for them. Blessings and hugs, xx
