I walked around and took photos - I'm hoping our provincial newspaper will publish them this week.
It was a cold, rainy day and guests were welcomed with sherry to warm the cockles of the heart.
While Rina, Grant and an old friend from the mining fraternity, Rudi sampled the warmth, I took photos!
The tables and chairs (all white) were decked in white. The first course was butternut or tomato soup served with pecorini crostinis
The next course was a Mediterranean platter: crusty breads, crispy vegetable crudites, feta cheese and olives. An alternative platter consisted of chicken liver pate, chorizo sausages, chilly sauce, halumi , and toasted triangles of garlicky bread
This family traveled from Senekal - 48 kms away- to enjoy Mothers Day at Le Cheri
One of the oldest families in our town, the Azars
The Ravis and Naidoos another beautiful family in town
Soft warm luminescence, mirrors and greenery adds to the ambiance of the restaurant
Main course was old-fashioned chicken pie, soft lamb roast and vegetables. Grant said it was delicious!
I'm linking to Our World Tuesday here
What a wonderful venue and fun time for all.
