Crowned Lapwing

Walking along the golf course with the dogs this week, I heard a Crowned Lapwing call. I'd been watching the Blacksmith Lapwing who's call is a harsh klink-klink-klink sound like a blacksmith's hammer on an anvil. The Crowned Lapwing has a strident shreeek-shreeek call. Thanks for all the kind comments and wishes for Ambrose' healing and well-being. I'm fervently hoping he will never go outside again but I suspect this little cat will be exploring the surrounding properties within a week again. *sigh*
