Free State sunsets

While driving to a neighboring town a couple of weeks ago, I captured the sun setting behind a bank of clouds

Back home this week I tried to capture the beautiful sunset through the trees in my garden

The image is rather distorted due to the "noise" in front of the sun

As I was snapping the sun through the open window, Ginger and son, Ambrose were watching it as well

Good fences great floral displays

Driving back from the city on Tuesday, I was surprised to see the cosmos still flowering beautifully. Of course, the sunflowers provided a stunning backdrop to my photos.

Doves on a bench

After church on Sunday, we popped in to see Grant's mum, Pam in the retirement center. We arrived to find there were several other children and grandchildren also visiting their elderly relatives. 

As Grant parked the car on the lawn, we spotted two young doves perched on the back of a garden bench.
